This is the superb 1978 Wales national team jersey. Unfortunately, the Welsh didn’t take part in the World Cup in Argentina.
Wales failed to qualify from a tough group that included Scotland and Czechoslovakia, the reigning European champions. Welsh players include John Toshack and Terry Yorath.
Wales finished fourth in Group 4, with only one win, three draws, and four losses in their eight matches. Their lone victory came against Malta, with a 7-0 win in Cardiff.
Despite some notable performances, including draws against Austria and Czechoslovakia, Wales’ overall results were not enough to earn them a place in the 1978 FIFA World Cup.
