To everyone’s surprise, Germany lost in the quarter-finals to Bulgaria (1-2) despite of the goals of Klinsmann and Voller during the tournament.

Group Stage: Germany was placed in Group C along with Spain, South Korea, and Bolivia.

  1. Germany vs. Bolivia (June 17, 1994): Germany started their World Cup campaign with a 1-0 victory against Bolivia, with the only goal of the match scored by Jürgen Klinsmann.
