France was placed in Group 1 alongside Sweden, England, and Denmark. France had a disappointing campaign in the group stage, failing to win any of their matches. They drew 1-1 against Sweden, 0-0 against England, and suffered a 2-1 defeat to Denmark.
As a result, France finished at the bottom of their group with just two points.
A disappointing result for Papin and Cantona’s team-mates, who had been favourites at the start of the Euro. It was a forgettable campaign for the French national team in what turned out to be a challenging tournament for them.
Nevetheless, this Euro 92 jersey remains one of the favourites of french supporters!
