Cruzeiro has a rich history and has achieved numerous titles and accolades. The club has won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A (Brazilian top division) four times, in 1966, 2003, 2013, and 2014. They have also won the Copa do Brasil six times, in 1993, 1996, 2000, 2003, 2017, and 2018, making them the team with the most Copa do Brasil titles.
Internationally, Cruzeiro has had success as well. The club has won the Copa Libertadores, the most prestigious club competition in South America, twice, in 1976 and 1997. They also won the Recopa Sudamericana, a match contested between the winners of the Copa Libertadores and the Copa Sudamericana, in 1998.
Cruzeiro has a strong fan base and plays its home matches at the Estádio Mineirão, one of Brazil’s most iconic stadiums.
