Designed by Fontaines D.C. guitarist Carlos O’Connell in collaboration with the Bohemians design team, the shirt takes its distinctive sky-blue and pink colour palette from the band’s acclaimed 2024 album Romance.

Why Is the Bohemians x Fontaines D.C. Jersey Special?
The 2025 Bohemians third jersey was created through a collaboration between Bohemian FC and Fontaines D.C., continuing the Dublin club’s tradition of using football shirts as a platform for music, art and social causes.
Fontaines D.C. guitarist Carlos O’Connell worked with the Bohemians design team on the shirt. Its vibrant sky-blue and pink aesthetic was inspired by the band’s 2024 album Romance, while the phrase “I thought it was love” appears around the neck.
The embroidered hem features a Palestinian flag alongside “Saoirse don Phalaistín”, meaning “Free Palestine” in Irish. The original club release directed 30% of profits from the shirt to Medical Aid for Palestinians.
The result is a football shirt that connects Irish football, Dublin music, contemporary football fashion and Fontaines D.C. culture — making it particularly appealing to collectors of modern cult football shirts.
